Rogelio Camargo Camacho, was born in Seville in 1967, currently leading in the world of photography more than 30 years, always with the enthusiasm and passion that has awakened this form of art, trying to stop those moments, and thus endure in time.
He has carried out several individual and collective exhibitions since 1995, as well as receiving numerous prizes, such as finalist of the Planeta prize for photography, Unicornio prize 2007 and 2008, finalist in Caminos de Hierro in 2010, awarded on four occasions in the contest “Triana Viva” in Seville, first prize Free Expression 2018 with two gold medals, first prize PLAYMOBIL Antequera competition, finalist V edition Xátiva Salón Internacional, finalist XVIII edition ONCE 2018,…
He has also been invited to participate in numerous author photography markets, including: 2008 and 2009 in Madrid, in Utrera in 2012, 2013 and 2014, in Úbeda in 2016 and 2018, in Barcelona in 2018 and in Guadalajara in 2019.He has also been a member of the jury of numerous competitions and contests.
The photographs he takes with analogue cameras in black and white films, obtained by chemical means in his own laboratory. Recently he has been incorporating the latest trends in photography into his capture, returning to colour as he did in his beginnings, but this time with a digital procedure.
He vindicates the acquisition of photographic work to begin in the photographic collecting.
In this exhibition he shows us the discovery that has meant for him Fregenal, in its different festive forms, as well as in its wandering through its streets and corners.
