Live Cooking

The ‘Live Cooking’ section is a space that showcases the cuisine of our region alongside that of other countries, highlighting this fusion of cultures. Visitors will thus be able to enjoy watching a range of recipes being prepared by leading chefs from Extremadura.
Furthermore, this section will feature both a “Tasting of local wines paired with Iberian ham and locally sourced cheeses” and a “Tasting of Extremaduran spirits and an olive oil with PDO designation”, showcasing these products that are so typical of our region.
‘Live Cooking’ will take place in the Cloister of the Convent of San Francisco on the dates listed below (see programme).
In 2026, the programme will feature:
Monday 3 August:
*Javier García (Barcarrota – Extremadura) and Argentine cuisine.
Tuesday 4 August:
*Carlos J. Vivas (Aceuchal – Extremadura) – Tasting of local wines paired with Iberian ham and locally sourced cheeses
Wednesday 5 August:
*Carlos J. Vivas (Aceuchal – Extremadura) – Tasting of Extremaduran spirits and a PDO olive oil
Thursday 6 August:
*Pepe Valadés (Montijo – Extremadura) and Peruvian cuisine.
– Tuesday 4 August and Wednesday 5 August: capacity limited to 40 people; cost: 6 euros per person per day.
– Monday 3 August and Thursday 6 August: capacity limited to 100 people; cost: 6 euros per person per day;
‘Cocina en Vivo’ ticket for Monday 3 August plus ‘Cocina en Vivo’ for Thursday 6 August: 10 euros.
