The Ballet Folklorico del Bio Bio (Bafobiobio) is an independent artistic company created in 2005, inspired by the different expressions and manifestations that make up the traditional and popular culture of Chile. Its aim is to rescue, promote and disseminate the cultural identity of the country, both in the national territory and abroad, in order to keep alive its legends, ceremonies, traditions and customs.
The Company is made up of a Musical Cast and a Dance Cast, which are characterised by their great professionalism and high technical level, which translates into attractive shows inspired by the cultural richness of Chile, through a delicate and elegant staging representative of the customs and traditions of the country and which have earned it recognition, both nationally and internationally.
It has a training academy with more than 200 students inaugurated in 2010, which aims to promote the study and practice of music and dance from the different areas of Chile, as well as the different universal dance techniques in the form of free courses.
Factors such as discipline, perseverance, passion and vision have been fundamental in the development and growth of this artistic project called Ballet Folklorico del Bio Bio, BAFOBIOBIO.
