It is the aim of the Compañía México Vivo and its Artistic Director, Maestro Sergio Paredes Duran, to make known their folkloric traditions through these choreographic works, becoming aware of the diverse cultural and ethnological manifestations that there are and have been in their country and showing them in a convincing way. The nature of the Mexican dancer and performer who, thanks to his dedication and different supports, manages to transmit this artistic work, motivating other creators so that their choreographic tradition is not lost and their work is preserved.
In its 20 years of life, this company has performed in the theatres of Mexico such as: Sala Miguel Covarrubias, Teatro de la danza, Teatro de la ciudad, Teatro Julio Castillo, Raúl Flores Canelo, Teatro de las artes, Flores Canelo teatro ferrocarrilero, Teatro Jiménez Rueda, Teatro Hidalgo, Auditorio Nacional, Antonio Caso, Félix Azuela, among others. She has also represented Mexico in different international dance festivals in Belgium, France, Holland, Portugal, Spain, Colombia, China, Greece, England and Italy, where she won the “Oscar del Folclor” award for the best traditional folklore performance.
