A journey from Patagonia to Havana, shows a historical mix of cultures, ethnicities and music that they want to bring to the stage, mixing almost forgotten songs of popular folklore, with better known songs and their own songs that renew and bring freshness to a vast repertoire.
Contrabandeando features 10 musicians of different generations, styles and origins, mixing typical Latin American folklore registers with current sounds and a great power on stage with a repertoire designed for live music, with a rich and diverse colourful performance that moves from north to south of the continent among a diversity of rhythms and sounds, capable of hypnotising a theatre or making the audience of a festival bounce.
This group was born from the fusion of several musicians with extensive experience in other folklore, mestizaje and world music groups, in 2009 in the city of Alcalá de Henares, with a common nexus which is the passion and knowledge of the folk of this continent.
