Born in the summer of 1996, the “La Albarca” Choir arose as a result of the fusion of musicians of renowned prestige with other amateurs who began their pilgrimage through the world of music in this formation.

Conceived and directed by Professor José Miguel Serrano Domínguez, its main objective from the beginning has been the interpretation of the most diverse musical styles, with special emphasis on polyphonic choral music, pop, pop-rock, rumba, flamenco-pop fusion and folk music.

It has taken part in numerous concerts, meetings and competitions, including, among others: Centro Cultural del Ayuntamiento de Leganés (Madrid), Sociedad Filarmónica Palmelense “Os Loureiros” (Portugal), Montoito (Portugal), Teatro López de Ayala de Badajoz.
It has also collaborated with the Camerata Bolero Group of Jerez de los Caballeros, which is also conducted by our director José Miguel Serrano, and has performed in numerous religious and civil celebrations held in towns in the Extremadura region.

In February 2000 he presented his first CD Música en Barcarrota at the Teatro López de Ayala in Badajoz, together with Grupo Classic.

Soon he plans to record a CD on “his Masses”, as well as a second CD with songs from the repertoire he currently performs in his shows.
