The Grup de danses Les Postisses, together with its Rondalla Segarreta, singers, tabal and dolçaina, was born as a Cultural Association in December 2019.
Most of its members have a long history in the world of folklore and come to the group from here and there. It is made up of around forty people, all of them with a common denominator: to spread and enjoy Valencian folklore in any of its forms, whether it is by means of the traditional folk music or the traditional dance:
– Their costumes, with which they try to show in detail the costumes used in the 18th and 19th centuries.
– Their dances, of which there is a great variety, such as the seguidillas, which are considered the dances from which all the others derive, as well as the fandangos, lively and lively, the boleros, always solemn and refined, the merry valencianas (also known as U) with their amusing and satirical lyrics, and not forgetting the well-known jota. Each and every one of these dances with possible variations depending on the region they come from.
– Their music, using stringed instruments such as the guitar, lute, bandurria, guitarro or requinto; percussion such as the cane, castanets, rattles or tambourines.
They have represented Spain by participating in international festivals in France, Portugal, Marrackech in Morocco, Germany and Malta.
In Spain they have performed in various festivals such as Calella, Basque Country, Torregüera in Murcia and Oviedo.
