Hei Show Tahiti ‘Ori

Polinesia Francesa

The “HEI SHOW TAHITI ‘ORI” company is led by Ms Tama Heilani and comprises a dance school and a dance company.

Tahitian dance, known as ‘Ori Tahiti’, epitomises Tahitian cultural identity. Whether through traditional dance, music and percussion, the oratory art of the ‘Orero’, traditional songs (Himene) or costumes, this art form brings together the most powerful and vibrant forms of cultural expression.

Sharing culture through the dance classes and various performances offered by the company, via “Ori Tahiti”, is the driving force behind HEI SHOW TAMURE.

The dance school has two branches in the Var department. Classes are held in La Garde and Toulon.
It has around 200 pupils of all ages and levels.
Classes are taught by Ms Tama Heilani and her daughters Kalolaine and Vailani, who is the company’s lead dancer. It is a family-run project.

The dance company is made up exclusively of young artists from French Polynesia.
It tours Europe to present its show, which showcases the colours of Tahiti.
It offers a variety of themes, ranging from legends to journeys through Polynesia.
The company takes part in various international CIOFF festivals around the world, but also performs at a range of private and individual events.
