Grupo Los Jateros has a quarry formed by different children’s and youth groups, belonging to its Escuela de Bailes y Canciones Populares de Extremadura (School of Dances and Popular Songs of Extremadura).
This school is made up of around 100 members aged between 5 and 17 and has a repertoire of more than fifty songs. It should be pointed out that ten monitors are in charge of its management and development, colleagues of the titular group, some of them with extensive experience in the group and who dedicate themselves to it selflessly.
In recent years, these children’s and youth sections have been able to participate in different festivals, both regional and national, such as the Bidasoa International Folk Festival in Irún in 2015, the Mariano San Romualdo “Silverio” Youth Festival in Segovia in 2017 and the “Choni Ramallo” Children’s and Youth Festival in Olivenza in 2018.
