Rogelio Camargo (Seville, 1967), a self-taught photographer, is influenced by the classic black-and-white photography of the last century, whilst not ruling out colour, and draws inspiration from his travels, even within his own city.

The photographs shown here are from a 15-day trip to Cuba in September 2007, taking in the cities of Havana, Viñales and Trinidad, and the roads linking them. Now, as this work approaches its twentieth anniversary, and given the changes the island is undergoing in the wake of recent events, what better reason to show what it meant to this photographer at the time to walk those streets, roads and places.
