Javier Carretero Pérez, born in Fregenal de la Sierra in 1970, has always had a great love of photography and video, as demonstrated by his collaboration with TVF since its creation in 1995 as a camera operator, his participation in numerous photographic projects for various associations in Fregenal and its region, and his video and drone work.
His work has won various prizes and distinctions as a result of its quality, such as first and second prizes in the competition of the programme “El tiempo” on Canal Extremadura Televisión, the publication of several photos in the “El Tiempo” section of this channel and in the same section on TVE’s 1st channel, and the mention of “outstanding” on www.buenafoto.es, one of the most renowned websites in the world of photography. He also won first prize in the Photography Competition of the Sierra International Festival in 2015 and 2018.
This self-taught photographer presents a free-themed exhibition with motifs in a multitude of environments, where he tries to capture the perfect time and place to capture what he sees in each of them, making a historical series of events that have taken place throughout the year.
